1. OVERVIEW
By booking with CozieHaus (“we,” “us,” or “Company”), you (“Renter”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all services, including sleepover setups, event packages, and add-ons.
2. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
Full Payment: Required at the time of booking to secure your date.
Card on File: A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file. By booking, you authorize CozieHaus to charge this card for any damages, cleaning fees, or missing items as outlined in Section 7.
Confirmation: Your booking is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.
3. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
14+ Days Notice: Full refund.
7–13 Days Notice: 50% refund.
Less than 7 Days: No refund.
Rescheduling: Requests are based entirely on equipment availability.
4. DELIVERY, SETUP & ACCESS
Environment: The Renter must ensure the setup area is at least 15ft x 15ft of open space.
Power & Tech: The Renter is responsible for providing functional power outlets within 10 feet of the setup. CozieHaus is not liable for equipment failure due to power outages or insufficient voltage.
Safety Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse setup if conditions are deemed unsanitary or unsafe (e.g., active pest infestations, mold, or aggressive unrestrained pets). No refunds will be issued in these cases.
5. USE OF EQUIPMENT & PROHIBITED ITEMS
All equipment remains the property of CozieHaus. To maintain our high standards of hygiene and safety, the following rules are strictly enforced:
No "Party Spoilers": Slime, putty, glitter, permanent markers, nail polish, and kinetic sand are strictly prohibited near the equipment.
No Heat Sources: No candles, matches, heaters, or smoking/vaping near the tents.
No Roughhousing: No jumping, standing, or wrestling on mattresses or tent structures.
Pet Policy: Pets are strictly prohibited inside the tents. Excessive pet hair on bedding will trigger a cleaning fee.
6. HYGIENE & SANITIZATION
Laundering: All linens and duvet covers are professionally laundered using hypoallergenic, child-safe detergents between every rental.
Disinfection: Tents, trays, and hard decor are sanitized with non-toxic disinfectants.
Sleeping Pillows: For hygiene reasons, CozieHaus provides decorative cushions only. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping pillows.
7. DAMAGE, LOSS & CLEANING FEES
The Renter is responsible for the condition of all equipment. We recommend inspecting the setup with our team during delivery.
Issue:
Estimated Fee Minor Stains/Spills: $25 – $50
Pet Hair or Heavy Odors (Smoke/Perfume): $75 minimum
Slime, Gum, or Nail Polish: Full Replacement Cost
Late Pickup / Equipment Not Ready: $50 per 30 minutes
Damaged/Broken Frame or Projector: Full Replacement Cost + Shipping
Note: "Full Replacement Cost" includes the retail price of the item plus any applicable shipping, taxes, and assembly time required to return the kit to service.
8. ADULT SUPERVISION & LIABILITY
Supervision: An adult (21+) must be present on the premises at all times during the rental period. CozieHaus does not provide monitoring services.
Liability Waiver: The Renter assumes all risk of injury, accidents, or damage to persons or property arising from the use of the equipment.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold CozieHaus harmless from any claims or legal actions resulting from your event.
9. WEATHER POLICY (OUTDOOR SETUPS)
Backup Plan: For "AirCamp" or outdoor setups, the Renter must have a cleared indoor backup location.
Cancellations: No refunds are issued for inclement weather. If conditions (high winds, heavy rain, lightning) make setup unsafe, we will move the event indoors or reschedule your rental at the availability of the product.
10. PHOTO USE
CozieHaus may take photos of the final setup for marketing and social media purposes. We will never include identifiable images of minors or guests without the express written consent of the Renter/Parent.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota. Any disputes shall be handled in the jurisdiction of Minnehaha County.
